I will talk about sexism and racism in pokemon another time. Right now I just want to rant and prove a point about the cutest(in my opinion) of the new sun and moon pokemon starters, Rowlet.
Yes, it is by far the cutest. However, it is simply another addition to the cute owl merchandise trend that's hit popular clothing stores, barnes and noble, bed bath and beyond, and other large corporations with notebooks and household items. I don't think it's design is original or unique at all. Because of all the other owls I've seen lately, I felt I like I saw it coming.
I cite images as proof of the consumer trend I see everywhere:
Maybe you can say the same thing about kittens? I supposed I feel that owls are a trend that will fade away, wheras kittens are classic.
And some of these owl products are adorable. And rowlet is cute so who cares, right? Ras cares. A small amount. Or at least I'm curious as to why this is marginally important to me.
Thoughts folks? Is Everything a Conspiracy?
